General Description

The hotel is part of the hotel 81 chain operating money-saving and no frill properties in singapore. These are decent and immaculate hotels in a more local part of town. Sg 08/06. The hotel is made up of a series of two storey restored shop houses. Some of which date back to before wwii. However, the inside is thoroughly modern. Rooms are relatively small as this is a no frills hotel. There are no wardrobe in the room however rack are obtainable to hang clothing. It is iso 9002 warranted and thus quality and cleanliness is assured. The attached bathrooms are quipped with standing shower. The lobby is small with no frills. Located in the elderly residential district of katong, the district is legendary for it elderly world charm and legendary peranakan cuisine. It is also a 10 minute drive to the beaches and parks in the east coast.

Located within the suburb of joo chiat, joo chiat road is lined by pre-war shop houses, some of which dwelling vanishing trades and elderly furniture shops, whilst others dwelling modern eateries, karaoke bars and nightclubs. Walking around the neighborhood, one can find numerous examples of the mix of chinese and the malay tradition. It is also a 10 minute drive to the beaches and parks in the east coast and a 5 minute drive to the parkway shopping centre.
